1 month, 4 great experiences

Time is running so fast, I can not believe it’s already December. The good thing is that at least there are great experiences you can live everyday and in the last month I can trully say I has the opportunity to live something great.

It all started with going to Olanesti to attend the Local Training Seminar of AIESEC Craiova. It was nice to see them again, to see the new members excited and eager to find new things about AIESEC, to see the old members preparing to take leadership opportunities J. It was great to talk to them and spend 4 days together.

Comming back home I choose to go also to the Local Training Seminar of AIESEC Tg. Mures & AIESEC Cluj in Sovata (or as we call it now Soo Vata) too spend some time with them also, to see old friends, to see the new generation of 3Some.

After fun comes work, and this time for me was work for a great project, for the first edition of Alumni&Partners Night, for the first celebration of 7 years of AIESEC Tg.Mures. It turned out to be a great project, with lots of guests and surprises, with lots of fun and great memories.

The last great event in November for me was going to National Preparation Seminar in Amara, the conference I always wanted to attend since I joined AIESEC 3 years ago. Now it finally happened and I had the opportunity to be facilitator for the conference for the newies agenda. It was nice working with a great team of facilitators for one week then helping the new members understand AIESEC better, have a great experience and in the end seeing AIESEC Craiova rewarded for Best Leadership Team. I am really happy and proud of them and hope they will also continue to have such great results and experiences.

A great month just passed, I feel blessed because great things happened lately in my life, hope the future will be also like this.

Still part of AIESEC

Remember my last post?
When I was feeling like an alumni?
Well that started to change. I decided to do more things in AIESEC and getting more involved. I attended a project organized by AIESEC TgMures (Learn IT) it's true here I was just a participant but still it was nice. Afterwards I was chair for 2 Big Pictures organized by AIESEC TgMures :) and participant at the third one :)
I also went to Craiova and helped them with the interviews for the new members. It was a great experience to see how other LCs organize their recruitment. Comming back I delivered one presentation and one training for the new members in TgMures, attended the best AIESEC party ever (organized for the new members) and started to work for a great event in AIESEC TgMures, Alumni&Partners Night.
This month is going to be full of AIESEC events and I hope it will be great. There is an LTS waiting for me in Olanesti with AIESEC Craiova where I'm preparing some trainings, then LTS for AIESEC TgMures and AIESEC Cluj where I hope I will be able to go at least for the weekend, Alumni&Partners Night and last but not least NPS (there conference I always wanted to attend and now I'm finally going to be there as facilitator)

There are great moments ahead, everything looks bright for the moment, hope the grey clouds will stay only on the sky and not in my life
Waiting for the future

Alumni Feeling

It's recruitment time in AIESEC but I'm not directly involved. It's a strange feeling. After being VP HR 2 years and organizing recruitments it's strange to step back and just watch or give inputs/feedback.

I still attend LC Meetings and go to trainings, but it's different not to organize them, not to be in front and just listen. There are so many things that have changed, they are growing and I'm happy to see them growing. Hope they will achieve all their goals and dreams.

Although I'm still in AIESEC a have an alumni feeling sometimes especially regarding AIESEC TGM because I'm not there every day like I used to. This week there was a really nice alumni meeting. There were a lot of alumni and members that came, it was a meeting of the generations with members starting from 2002. It was really nice to meet them all and talk about our experiences and how was AIESEC before. It was a great night. Hope we will continue having this meetings. Still the thought that I'm becoming an alumni is scary a little bit, I like AIESEC and I still want to get involved.

I want to enjoy every second that I spend in AIESEC, no matter if it's AIESEC TGM, AIESEC Craiova or other LC. I want to enjoy my AIESEC XP :)

ROCK ME a great experience

In my last weekend I attended a really nice conference ROCK ME.
The conference took place in Semenic (quite hard to reach but possible after taking 4 trains and a bus).I attended this kind of conference last year and I had some nice memories (the picture of AIESEC TGM on the community that we took at the seaside on the sand, the profile of the new member, me and Romeo fighting to go to a training, getting to know Bori better on the way to Bucharest and much more) still I had no big expectations regarding the conference this time.

But the conference proved to be great this year (at least for me). Starting with getting there where the first members I've seen were the EB members of AIESEC Craiova which I haven't seen since their LPM, then continuing with meeting old friends, the RCs and getting ready for the sessions because this time I was a facilitator. The whole time spent there was nice.

Still the moments I liked the most where:

Being coach for 2 LCs during the conference: AIESEC Craiova and AIESEC Tg.Mures, spending time with them, helping them set strategies, attending their delegation meetings, sharing impressions (for me this was really nice and I enjoyed every moment)

AIESEC Craiova on the stage, being rewarded for their performance. I was really happy to see them there. I was happy for them and especially for Cris (VP X) because I knew how much they worked this year and I knew how much this meant for them. Hope this award will motivate all the members to work and reach for results.

There were great moments in this conference, and in the end I’ve seen only happy faces and motivated members who went home full of enthusiasm to work harder. Hope we will keep the energy at least until the next conference :)

Happy and full of energy

Just 2 more days

There are just 2 more days left until I will finish my internship in Opportunity Microcredit Romania. Looking back it was a nice experience. I had the chance to work with great people. These are the kind of people that it will be nice to work with in the future. Also because OMRO is part of Opportunity International almost every week there was a foreigner comming into town. So it was interesting to stay in the same office with my boss (an american) and with his friend (from England) speaking different english accents, then meeting people from Albania, US and Italy.
Regarding the things I've learned there were a few. Because I did not have a clear job description I had the change to do a little bit of everything (HR & Marketing mostly) and see how a company works and mostly how it tries to transform into a bank. It was a nice environment that I will miss.
I'm glad I had this chance this summer.

Now I'm preparing for a new experience, this time in AIESEC, I'm preparing for a great conference ROCK ME. Can't wait to get there.

Planning Meeting and internship

Recently I went to Craiova. It was my first trip there. Craiova is a nice place, I really liked it except for the heat, but at this time is hot almost everywhere in Romania. It was nice seeing again the EB members of AIESEC Craiova, meeting some of the members and their trainees from England.
After staying in Craiova for 3 days we went to Cozia where they had the Local Planning Meeting. For me LPM is my favorite conference in AIESEC because there are all the members planning activities, creating new projects, sharing their ideas and having fun. This year for me it was a little bit different because I've experienced the conference form a different position, as coach, and my involvement was basically in coming up with feedback, ideas and support. But still it was nice and I liked it.
When the summer started I had no idea what I will be doing this summer but as the time passes by things are getting more clear. I had my first visit in Craiova and I'm keeping in contact with them on emails, and I started an internship at OMRO, a company in Tg.Mures. I just ended my first week there. I had the chance to see a little bit how is it to run a business and to work a little bit on HR because my supervisor was out of town. So far it was nice and interesting.

Can't wait to see what will happen next.

Traveling

This month seams to be great, so far at least. I traveled a little bit and it seams I will travel some more until the end of summer, it's true that only in Romania but it's ok because everywhere I go I meet great people and have a great time.
I started the month by going to Bucharest for the Regional Coaches preparation. There where two hot days but it was nice because with the Development team we planned our activities for this year, we meet with the old regional coaches that shared a little bit of their experience. There were two interesting things that happened that confirmed once again that the world is small. While I was in Bucharest 2 guys from Holland came, with the Ambassadors program, they knew the two girls from Holland that were in Mures last year at Peninsula.
Probably so far nothing interesting because in AIESEC things like this happen all the time (that's why it's an international organization and people from different countries know each other). On the way back from Bucharest in the maxi taxi there was a person that at first I thought I will never see again. It was a teacher of mine from the 9th grade. He lives now in Canada and came to Romania to spend his holiday. It was really nice seeing him again but also strange, because who would have thought I will see my teacher in that maxi taxi.
This week I went with my parents to my favorite place in Romania, to Fagaras Mountains. I was really nice driving on the Transfagarasan, seeing some snow, climbing the mountain and reaching its top. From there we went to Sambata, a monastery nearby. When we arrived there I was really surprised to see some familiar faces, the MC team of AIESEC RO where there having their teambuilding. Who would thought I will meet them there. One again the world is small (or at least Romania). Afterwards we went to Sinaia where we spend to nice days, far away from the heat.
Now I am preparing for a new "trip" to Craiova, where I will spend a week with a great team, working and planning stuff for AIESEC. Can't wait to get there to see them all.
Preparing for the way, hope it won't be that hot

Ending a chapter

There has been a while since I opened my account to post a new message on this blog. Why? I don’t know.

Anyway there have been many things that happened lately. I ended some chapters of my life, started new things. I just ended the 3rd year of university and started my summer holiday. I’m so happy that finally it’s here. I don't know for sure, for the first time in the last to years, what I will do this summer but I'm sure it will be great.

In May I said goodbye to my EB team from 06-07 at the Take Over Gala in Sovata. It was a nice moment to be in from of AIESEC Tirgu Mures for the last time as an EB team, to share our feelings, to see what this experience meant for each one of us. I liked that moment a lot because it was full of emotion and really touchy. I will never forget my colleagues, the moments we shared together for one year, this great experience that made me the person I am today.

Now I’m working with another team, it's a little bit different because there are many kilometers between us and we communicate mainly using the internet. This month I will spend one week with them and I’m really excited about that. I can’t wait to go in Craiova and see them.

I plan also to go to the mountains for a few days, relax, have fun and find something interesting to do after I get back in Mures.

Until then I’m preparing for 2 days of preparation in Bucharest that will help me this year make a great job as Regional Coach.

Preparing for the summer

Changes in my life

Once I wrote on my blog I have to take some decisions in my life. One of them was to apply for Regional Coach in AIESEC Romania. Well I did, and after a presentation in front of the LCPs of @ RO, after a long interview on the phone I was selected and now I am regional coach for AIESEC Craiova :)
Recently I was at the National Congress and I had the chance to meet the EB from AIESEC Craiova, the EB that I will work with this year. They are all great people and I hope we will have a great year together. I hope I will adjust myself to their way of work and we will make great things for the LC.
It was an interesting experience to be at NC for the third time but this time to be in a different position, to be a facilitator and help others take decisions not taking them for your area, for your LC. Even though I miss those times I know the EB took the best decisions for the LC and we will grow a lot this year, we will work hard and reach all our objectives.

Confident that this year will be a great one

Thankful

Today it’s Easter and I am really happy because Jesus, my redeemer is alive after He had died for me and for my sins. I am thankful for all the things He had done in my life, for all the opportunities that life has given me, for His protection over my life.

I know for sure that for Him nothing is impossible and He will do what's best for me and for my life.

Time goes by so fast

It is strange how time goes by so fast, I am sitting here and is 20th of January already. Almost one month ago we had Christmas and now we started a new year, a new year that I hope will be full of joy and happiness for everyone.
The exam session started and I'm not in the mood of studying at all. I am thinking about AIESEC, about my friends, about how many things happened last year about what will I do this year. There are so many things that happened in AIESEC in my last EB term,so many memories, now we are only one month away 'till the new EB will be selected. One period of my life is going to end and all of my feelings are mixed together,I'm happy I had the chance to work with so great people: Roxy, Marius, Emese, Bori, Romeo but I'm also sad because is the end (not of my life in AIESEC :) ) but of a great period. And because we have just a few months of working together I want to take the maximum out of them.
Also one thing that made me sad is the fact Vivi went back to Brazil. She will turn back to Europe but not in Romania :( We promised each other one day we will meet again and we will do our best to make this happen. The world is small and we can make it happen.

Now I'll go plan some things for next meetings in AIESEC and for this year, because there are many decisions that I have to take and I want to take the right ones.

Thinking, feeling, taking decisions
